Dist:0.9km<br/>Must have been the principal house to be named with the same name as the place I think. A fellow geographer has provided the following after researching this property since 1981: “Cumdivock House is the ancestral home of the Blamire family. There was a house on the site - just under the porch from the 12th Century. This house originally took in the white part - now Cumdivock farm, and the porch was on the join of the two parts. It was altered circa 1918. The house is rather unique in that it has a barrel roofed cellar and in the wall of the cellar is the original well again it is a domed recess and is now almost full of rubble. Hope this is of interest”.

Dist:1.1km southwest<br/>A stream with very clear water. There is a Conservation Walk along the left bank http://cwr.naturalengland.org.uk/Default.aspx?Module=CountryWalkDetails&Site=3087 . An information board at the site says "Fertilisers and herbicides are not permitted within 6m of the banks to promote diversity of grassland species for the benefit of wildlife".

Dist:1.4km southeast<br/>The board at the beginning of the drive states that this is one of the Kingswood Education Centres (Kingswood being a leading provider of outdoor education and activity centres throughout the country). This particular establishment does not, however, seem to be still on their books.The chimney pots belong to Greenssyke House, the main building of the centre.
