The bridge was named after a slave - Pero who lived in Bristol. He was born in Nevis in the Caribbean. The bridge links Millennium Square [[18264]] with Queen's Square [[17899]]. The bridge, a bascule bridge, was designed by Eilis O'Connell and Ove Arup. In the background, on the right, is the Bristol & West building [[122304]] before the crane moved in.
