The Laboratory - see http://www.hsl.gov.uk/about-us/where-are-we.htm - specializes in research involving fires and explosions; the footpath signs through the site are giant-sized just in case you were tempted to wander off the path. The former farmhouse of Turncliff is in the background, complete with blastproof shutters.

The notice in the back window of the car reads "This car is to be used for experimental purposes by Explosion Control Section and is parked here awaiting testing. Please leave it alone." See http://www.hsl.gov.uk/about-us/where-are-we.htm for more on the Health and Safety Laboratory - sounds like a great place to work if you like setting fire to things or blowing them up.
