This is a switching substation that covers quite a large area between the old railway and the minor road between Burton Green and Carol Green. The gate notice emphasises that the lines carry 275,000 volts, presumably to warn off intruders.

Dist:0.6km<br/>A beautiful Elizabethan style house in Beechwood. Unlike so many large houses around here that hide behind hedges and fences, the grounds of this charming old building are completely open to the road.

Dist:0.7km<br/>Carrying Waste Lane over the trackbed of the Kenilworth Junction to Berkswell line. This line provided a useful bypass for the congested junction in Coventry and various plans have come and gone over the years for its re-instatement.
