Dist:0.7km<br/>Rough ground with a scrap yard beyond. Behind the camera the ground has been given over to new housing development. The plastic panels, brown on one side and white on the other are specialised fencing to prevent amphibians from crossing (http://www.herpetosure.com/ ). However, the fencing was not continuous and I presume has served its purpose.

Dist:0.8km<br/>A peculiar stile or gate design I haven't seen before. The counter-weight is sufficiently light so that the bars shut into their horizontal position under their own weight. To photograph this I had to hold the thing open and then snap it quickly as it fell shut. Of course, the design leaves a rather large, and certainly not stock-proof hole under the counter-weight.
