This large mill has been converted by Buckingham University for use as student amenities. The mill is adjacent to the Chandos park west of the town centre.

These racks are used to lift the sluice gates that control water levels in the mill race just upstream of the mill. Lifting the gates allows excess water in the race to be released back through the sluice into the River Ouse.

Dist:0.2km<br/>On the corner of Station Road, to the left, and Chandos Road, to the right, and opposite the site of the former [[1932416]] is this building, the former Station Mills corn mill, now the Chandos Road building of The University of Buckingham. The building is shown on an 1881 Ordnance Survey 1:500 scale map with a railway siding running from the station goods yard via a small turntable through an archway in the building approximately where the reception entrance is on the left now. This turntable also served a longer siding that went across Station Road and down over the River Great Ouse to the Town Mill. By 1900 the building was shown as a milk factory, so it has had at least three completely different uses in its life. The small extension with the stone date tablet states "1934" while the extension to the left is 20th century too. However the postbox in the wall at the near corner is Victorian.

Dist:0.2km<br/>In a contrast in building styles on the left in this view looking up Hunter Street is the former Masonic Hall known as Yeomanry Hall. It was built in 1787 of English Bond red brick. On the right is Yeomanry House, the former quarters of the local Yeomanry officer, a later building dating from the early 19th century, with incised masonry patterns picked out in its dull pink render. The buildings are both Grade II Listed and now belong to The University of Buckingham.

Dist:0.2km<br/>Barton's Hospital is a group of six almshouses in Church Street founded under the will of John Barton in 1431. Under the terms of the will, the charity provided a dwelling place and fourpence a week to six poor men or women so long as they prayed daily for the soul of the late John Barton. The almshouses were rebuilt in 1910. The slate roof of the main hall of [[2130413]] is visible to the right.
