Dist:0.1km<br/>This is the start of a footpath to Brookfoot. It looks rather neglected. If a path is little used it becomes overgrown, and then is used even less.

Dist:0.2km<br/>This track was the access to extensive quarries on the crest of the hillside, to the right (north-east). These were called Clog Sole Delf (although the OS changed the spelling to 'Delph' in the late 19C).

Dist:0.2km<br/>This is relatively new woodland on an area shown as a tip on a mid-20C map and as a field in 1850, but has a dense display of bluebells.

Dist:0.2km<br/>This is built on a mound of tipped material. The mound is shown on a mid-20C map, but not the building. It could be a privy, but the nearest house is on the opposite side of the road. The concrete roof suggests a wartime structure.

Dist:0.2km<br/>Slead House is on the right. 'Court' is a modern name; similar groupings were often called 'squares' in Brighouse.
