Below this is a one-storey screen added about 1820 by Charles Robert Cockerell, as part of a distinctive classical remodelling of the building. "C1826, by C R Cockerell. Ashlar plinth; brick; Welsh slate gabled roof; rendered brick ridge stack. Single storey and attic: front has steps to vestibule under open pediment with arch and pilasters, of ashlar: false 2 leaf door with 2 lights with glazing bars, in moulded architrave and in left returned side, plain door in moulded architrave; cornice over; figurehead over."
