Dist:0.1km north<br/>Situated between Alexandria Road and the Great Western mainline, this new store was built on the car park of the old store, which was situated to the east. The terraced houses in the background are on Manor Road, on the other side of the railway.

Dist:0.2km north<br/>On the corner of Manor Road and Drayton Road is the sorting office for the London W13 area. The sorting office and the houses further down Manor Road face straight onto the Great Western mainline.

Dist:0.2km north<br/>The 1330 Paddington to Penzance service passes West Ealing at speed. On the right now stands the Waitrose supermarket. The Railway has been electrified and overhead wires would prevent the same view today. The footbridge has been enclosed with wire mesh so you could not lean over and photograph the same view as I did then. The track work has also changed as have the trains running into Paddington these days.

Dist:0.2km north<br/>A busy scene, looking east. On the left the Greenford branch merges with the Great Western Mainline. On the slow down mainline a Heathrow Connect service heads for the airport, after calling at West Ealing station (just visible). This is the new stopping service to Heathrow. Waitrose have built a new store on the car park of its old store. The new store car park and an office or apartment block have been built on the site of an industrial estate.

Dist:0.2km north<br/>Looking west along Felix Road. The small terrace houses on the right back onto the Great Western mainline. It's hard to find a parking space round here.

Dist:0.2km north<br/>Looking east along Singapore Road towards Ealing Magistrates Court at the end. Singapore Road runs parallel to West Ealing Broadwayand is the southern boundary of the Green Man Estate, into which leads Williams Road.

Dist:0.2km north<br/>The railway station is on the west side of Drayton Green Road. The incorporation of British Rail's 1970s logo into the brickwork was probably regarded as a nice touch at the time, but in today's world of continuous corporate re-branding...

Dist:0.2km north<br/>Just north of West Ealing station on the Great Western mainline, The Avenue heads north away from its junction with Argyle Road. The Avenue has a large pub and a range of shops, but never seems to take off as a local shopping centre.
