Bredwardine church is dedicated to St Andrew. The Georgian tower dates from 1790.

The photographer took part in a failed peal attempt here in 1996. An unusual arrangement for the tower to be offset to the north of the nave.

Dist:0.1km<br/>Looking downstream from Bredwardine bridge. Between the trees is Bredwardine vicarage, built in 1805 and sitting on the same terrace above the Wye as the parish church. These terraces may be the site of a vineyard which was recorded as adjacent to the castle in the 13th century. Reverend Francis Kilvert lived in the vicarage from 1877-9 and his diary makes many references to the site.
