Barry Jackson was the founder of the Malvern Festival where Elgar's music and Shaw's plays were performed. His house is very close to here and the four seats give one a beautiful view looking north along the Malvern Hills. In the middle (just visible) there is a piece of Malvern Granite with a plaque : [[501045]]

The slope from Barry Jackson's Memorial towards the Black Hill car park is an excellent and very popular run. [[501045]] [[501033]] Barry Jackson used to live in the house on the right. The hills in the distance are the twin-peaked Pinnacle Hill and Black Hill.

Visible through the trees in winter atop the Malvern Hills ridge. The summer house is just inside the enclosed property of Wynds Point. The house in Wynds Point is built into a quarry and was once the home of singer Jenny Lind known as the Swedish Nightingale. In more recent years it was the property of Cadbury's.
