Dist:0.5km<br/>Set in a field among farm machinery, access is via footpath skirted on the right side by an electric fence. The church is significant in that it has a rare 17th Century interior. As seen, it has a superb setting amid gently rolling hills.

Dist:0.8km<br/>A little-used lane that connects Field Road to the lane through Low Ham, and which continues the line of Wood Road from Sam's Cross to the west. Beyond the valley of Leazemoor is Pitney Wood on the steep northern slopes of Woodbirds Hill.

Because no fertilisers have been used, the soils are not very fertile and with constant grazing, the turf is particularly herb-rich. Dist:0.9km<br/>The wide verges on the lane are covered in the while flowers of cow parsley. Cow Parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris) is an extremely common plant with flat heads of tiny white flowers. The flowers are seen by roadsides and hedges almost everywhere from April to June.

Dist:1.0km south<br/>A view looking to the east towards an exhibit at the Somerset Steam Spectacular 2006 on Hext Hill. The wagon is based on a Leyland Sherpa chassis with Land Rover running gear, and is powered by a Roanoke steam engine burning wood from old packing pallets. Just the thing for when the oil runs out.

However, the structure and sails are due for renovation during 2009. On tw or three occasions the windmill interior is made accessible. This is the only windmill now surviving with a thatched cap
