This church is apparently 1000 years or so old and was built as part of the castle residences and buildings. It is situated at the foot of the castle and in the centre to north eastern section of the square.

Six roads meet here, whereas before the Steyning Bypass there were only four. The A283 Steyning Bypass was built on the old Shoreham to Horsham line and Bramber railway station was at this position. Link to Ben's early photograph [[1884443]]
