The valley of an unnamed brook that flows from Werneth Low towards the River Tame.

A grade II listed building. Originally a cruck-framed longhouse from the 15th century, it was encased in rubble in the 17th century and later with brick. The scene of a murder in 1831, it was divided into cottages in 1928 but in 1993 a fire reduced to it to just the original cruck frame.

Beyond the bridge, the line shortly joined the still open Hyde to Woodley railway. Access beyond the bridge is therefore barred and users of the trail are diverted towards the Peak Forest Canal.
