Dist:0.3km north<br/>This pub/restaurant was formerly called the Railway Hotel due to its proximity to the railway station. The building dates back to the 19th century, and in its early days was a coaching house.

Dist:0.3km north<br/>This building is the former Stanley cinema which opened in 1920 and was known locally as The Clog, due to two shops on each side of the entrance, one selling sweets and the other clogs. These clogs were sold by the Lamb family, and their footwear business is still trading in nearby Bottomboat.
