Dist:0.2km<br/>The nearer house is at the very end of Park Street (number 75) in Bonehill, and was known as "The White House" when I lived there as a child in the early 60s and probably still is. The more distant house partly obscured by trees is a fine Georgian edifice called Bonehill House. During World War II this house was used as offices by a company called Brightside who installed central heating into large buildings, most notably the Houses of Parliament. I know this because my mum worked there as a secretary at the time. She was very pleased to be working in this nice quiet backwater rather than in central Birmingham where she'd been working up until then with bombs falling regularly from the sky !

Dist:0.3km<br/>This small bridge on the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal has no road over it, just a farm track and a public footpath. On some maps it is called Bonehill Bridge. This five and a half mile length of the canal was built by the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal Company when the Coventry Canal company ran out of money.
