Sadly, this has resulted in the cessation of brewing on the site, ending a long history of independent brewers in Nottinghamshire. The flag is now basically being flown by micro-breweries.

Dist:0.5km<br/>Kimberley Ales no more! Bought by Greene King, and then closed. The sign offers 'Land and Buildings with Development Potential'. With this area so rich in Victorian industrial heritage, the planning authorities must hold their ground.

Dist:0.6km<br/>This is a footbridge over what used to be the Midland railway. The view is taken with the railway heading towards Watnall and Basford. Behind the camera is the old Midland railway Kimberley station.

There is also a bridge that goes over the old railway line that carries a road (Hardy Street). The other side of the bridge is the Midland railway Kimberley station.

Dist:0.7km<br/>Often considered the brewery tap of the nearby Hardy and Hanson Victorian brewery. Acquired by Greene King last year whose moneymen promptly consigned a perfectly viable brewery and their Kimbereley Ales to history. The pub still worth visiting though.
