Not many visitors come to this spur but perhaps they would if they knew about it. A car park would be useful near the end of the Deri! The Black Mountains are on the horizon here.

Dist:0.7km<br/>This path on the Deri ridge affords great views all around, from the Sugar Loaf here just about at its most 'volcano'-like, to the neighbouring Skirrid (Ysgyryd Fawr) and eventually over the Usk valley and Abergavenny.

Dist:0.8km<br/>This wall borders the Parc Lodge National Trust estate. The Sugar Loaf stands proud behind reminding me of Mount Erebor from Tolkien's 'The Hobbit', The Lonely Mountain. At 45 feet shy of 2,000 feet the Sugar Loaf is a child's imagining of 'a mountain'.
