Tregony Petanque (that's the French game of boules) Club is part of Kernow (Cornwall) Petanque Association. We play at Tregony Sports Club, in Back Lane, near the church, on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons unless there's an event elsewhere - phone to check before coming if you're travelling any distance. We welcome newcomers to the game and can get you started with the basic rules and techniques. Spare boules are available from the club.

This is a local club for all beer enthusiasts. Membership is only £2 per year benefits include guest ales at only £1.59 a pint normally £1.95 or premium beers at £1.75 a pint normally £2.10. Members also enjoy 20% discount on food with production of a membership card. Discounts only apply on Wednesdays which is the day the club runs every week. There are also regular events for members including meet the brewer events, brewery tours plus much much more. Why not come along and join in the fun. We run a 12 week challenge to help people lose weight. We discuss nutrition, water intake, appropriate exercise. We have a weekly weigh-in and measurements taken in a private room away from the rest of the class. That way if you don't want to share your results then u don't have too. The person that loses the most weight (based on body percentage) wins £300, 2nd prize £200 and 3rd prize £100. There is also a prize for the person that loses the most centimetres. There is weekly give aways to add to the fun.

‘Do Labradors really need to be rescued?’

A frequent statement, but unfortunately a very sad truth. With over 45,000 Labrador puppies registered with The Kennel Club every year, this is just the tip of the iceberg. With such numbers, it is inevitable that some will need help.

The Labrador Rescue Trust has been helping Labradors in need for over 20 years and currently helps between 600-700 dogs a year in the South West. Everyone involved with The Trust is a volunteer and between us there is a wealth of knowledge and experience with Labradors. We all love the breed and we need other people to love them too!

The welfare of the dogs is paramount. All our Helpers are unpaid volunteers and all funds raised go to help in the re-homing of needy Labradors.
