The Garage you can see is Cromwell SAAB an independent dealer established in 1962 (at the time of the morning this picture was taken all the “posh” cars were safely under lock and key!). Dist:0.6km west<br/>This two-manual instrument is the only known surviving example of the Deptford organ builder Alexander Hunter (not to be confused with the better known Alfred Hunter). It was originally in the nearby Christ Church Chapel and is allegedly the instrument on which Maunder composed "Olivet to Calvary".

Dist:0.6km west<br/>The church was built in 1904 to the designs of Fellowes Prynne, though the west end was never completed through lack of funds, giving rise to the deceptively plain exterior seen in [[943292]]. The interior is a contrast with its lofty gothic architecture. The full-height chancel screen is typical of Fellowes-Prynne's work. It is listed grade C.

Dist:0.6km north<br/>As part of the development of the Bell Green gas works site, the section of the river that ran in a culvert under the gas works has been diverted, opened up, landscaped and now forms part of the Waterlink Way.

Dist:0.6km west<br/>An Anglican church, listed ecclesiastical grade C (equivalent to 2). It was designed by George Fellowes Prynne and opened in 1907, replacing an earlier church on a nearby site called Christ Church. It was never completed, which explains the unattractive west end shown here, set well back from the road: the interior of the church is much more impressive. Dist:0.6km west<br/>The bell of [[943292]]. It has an intriguing history, told in full at http://www.sydenhamsociety.com/All Saints bell.html , but briefly it was originally cast for the Royal Exchange but actually used in another church in Sydenham, from where it was moved to All Saints.
