Welcome to Bedford Park. This is a guide to the Bedford Park area.

This park and these residential buildings are situated in the centre of the grid square, slightly to the west. The buildings are on the west side of the park. This square consists of commercial businesses, residential area, two greens, a few pubs and has at least three churches.

This avenue of trees runs diagonally across the park area. This view was taken from the church and on the west side of the road that runs through the park. It is more or less in the centre of the grid square.

Chiswick has a number of pubs and there are at least three in this grid square. This pub is situated on the corner of the A205 and a minor road that intersects from the north.

This is Christ Church, Turnham Green, a rather impressive church by Scott and Moffat of 1843, extended to the east by Brooks in 1877. The church is situated on the east side of the road that runs through the park. This view was taken from the east of the park, looking more or less north west. This tube station is situated in the north western section of the grid square as viewed from more or less south of it.

These children have finished an afternoon's play at the playground situated next to the tube rail, situated more or less in the centre of the upper half of the grid square. The fence visible in the picture is in the grid square.

The cosmopolitan restaurant holds something for every taste- an important commercial consideration in Chiswick which represents many nationalities. This restaurant in Chiswick High street is situated in the middle of the eastern half of the grid square.

One of a number of ancient open spaces which remain close to the line of Chiswick High Road, the old Great West or Bath Road. This part is fringed with some attractive Victorian cottages, with nevertheless have to put up with the almost continuous roar of Underground trains at the bottom of the garden. On the day this was taken they were enjoying peace and quiet as the train service was suspended to allow engineering works to be carried out.

I would've called it a church, but what would I know? It's proper name is "Russian Orthodox Cathedral of the Dormition of the Most-Holy Mother of God and Holy Royal Martyrs". It must be unusual in the fact that it has 2 priests. The building is about 10 years old and it's gold and blue dome can be seen where the A4 becomes the M4.

In the leafy area locally known as Bedford Park, the grander end of Rusthall Avenue, W4 where all these houses are double-fronted, and sell for a lot of money.
