Dist:0.1km<br/>This gives a closer view of the early 20th century flour mills shown in this image [[620311]]. The state of decrepitude is even more obvious. Notable is the art deco lettering used to identify the structure. Made of concrete, it would probably need to be blown up to get rid of it. Plainly it has been empty for some time and it probably owes its survival to (a) the cost of demolition and (b) there being no immediate need for the land it stands on. Dist:0.1km<br/>This building dates from 1907/08 and was designed by the CWS' own architect. It is largely built of reinforced concrete using the Mouchel-Hennebique system. Behind the crane is one of three wind turbines which another contributors states were built in August 2007. On this Sunday afternoon the crane was stationary; the turbine blades were turning.
