Coffee and Crafts
I’m a successful artist and have my own private studio in Amersham. Coffee and craft is primarily born from my desire to meet fellow local craft enthusiasts, and I guess also to repair and restore a patchwork quilt I made when I was young. It’s a totally free as attendees are required to bring their own individual projects. I will provide tea and coffee (instant I’m afraid) I’m willing to help and advise where I can, but have limited knowledge. I figured with the internet close at hand we won’t be far from expert help! So if you fancy a pleasant evening of creativity in the company of others, within a relaxed environment, please feel free to get in touch.
Look forward to hearing from you.

St Mary's Amersham Bellringers
Our prime objective is to ensure that the bells are rung regularly for Sunday and other services. However, ringing also offers much more. It is a cheap, absorbing hobby which brings together people of all ages and walks of life. The traditions, the social activities, the personal interest and satisfaction to be gained, and the inherent companionship of ringers throughout the world, are all important facets:
• Unique hobby
• Very sociable group participation — make friends for life
• Highly satisfying, a combination of physical and mental effort
• Great when moving to new area, going to university, or away from home on business
• Scope for travel throughout the UK, plus Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Southern Africa and the USA
• Service to the Church
• Craft almost 400 years old
• Plenty of opportunity locally
New recruits are always welcome. Anyone from about age 11 can learn to ring; it helps to have a sense of rhythm and reasonable coordination — but you don't have to be a mathematician or a musician, and there is no upper age limit – if, as at St Mary’s, the bells are rung from an upper floor (and not all of them are) you just need to be able to climb the stairs.
