Dist:0.3km<br/>This small water course feeds the Holwell Reservoir through the sluice on the left. The sluice on the right controls the flow through the Brook. Although appearing closed at the time of the photograph there was a considerable amount of water flowing down the Brook.

Dist:0.3km<br/>This looks like an old fuse box and electricity flow meter now overtaken by ivy. It's amazing that the glass from the windows have been completely removed but these bits of electrical equipment are still in place although disconnected. As yet I haven't been able to unearth any information about this site.

Dist:0.4km<br/>Large iron pipes emerge from the rear of the pumping station, now covered with ivy after many years of disuse. This path is obviously well used by anglers gaining access to the numerous fishing platforms round the reservoir

Dist:0.4km<br/>Large metal pipes leading to the old Holwell pumping station rise over the Welby Brook before they turn sharply to the left towards the old building (see [[[2357555]]]). There are several well worn paths through this naturally reclaimed industrial site, evidence that it is popular as a place to explore.

Dist:0.4km<br/>This piece of land has become quite overgrown with ivy, birch and ash giving quite a surreal appearance. These very large diameter iron pipes are buried in the undergrowth behind the Holwell pumping station. Behind the viewpoint they disappear into the ground and ahead they rise sharply over the Welby Brook and turn into the rear of the pumping station. To the right the land rises steeply to meet the goods railway line to the Asfordby Business Park and industrial site.
