Dist:0.7km<br/>The age and uniformity of the trees is the giveaway that these are relatively recent plantings. The area was an industrial wasteland of coal bings until the late 1970s when the then Lothian Region brought in earth-moving equipment to re-landscape it for leisure purposes. These trees occupy the site of the Emily Pit bing.
