Dist:0.4km north<br/>Laleham Park is by the River Thames, between Chertsey and Staines. It is 70 acres of land which was donated by the Lucan family, who lived in Laleham House/Abbey, which was built 1803-1806. The River Thames is behind the photographer. The road is called Thames Side. The black structures in the park are 3 of the several barbecue stands provided by Spelthorne Borough Council, for free public use. They were built to help control the many barbecues that were being held in the park by members of the public.

Dist:0.4km north<br/>Historical memorabilia of the village and the local area are on display and there is a wildlife garden behind the centre. Books on the history of Laleham are available, and guided walks around the village start here. Part of the building is also the parish office.

Dist:0.5km north<br/>Laleham Church of England School was opened in 1865, the land having been given by the Third Earl of Lucan. A new junior school was built in the playground in 1959 and a further extension block was added in 1977.
